And since there's some overlapping relevance, here's my birthday want list from a few months ago, which just happens to contain a little bit of DA fanart (all my dragon age wishes were indeed granted, thank you very kindly).

When is yours? June 15th

Where were you born? Vancouver, Canada

How do you feel about your legal name? Are you using it online and/or IRL? I’m fine with my name – and I definitely use it online. I don't think it's ideal, but I’ve never come up with a handle that I like enough to stick with.

How about your sign? Do you feel it "fits"? No, although my main associations come from people in high school reading me my horoscope out of Seventeen magazine, and it being something along the lines of, “girl, you’ve got the gift of the gab! You’re the life of every party!” Thank you, Seventeen, but wrong on all counts.

What's your earliest memory related to your birthday? My parents hosted a birthday party for me when I was maybe four or five years old, and as soon as the cake emerged and everyone started singing “Happy Birthday”, I buried my head under my arms and refused to come out. And when you think about it, having a bunch of people all staring at you and smiling and singing your name in unison IS, actually, very strange and uncomfortable...

What's one of the best gifts you've ever received? Every shiny that anyone has ever sent or given to me!

America: invites every country and micronation to a huge party

The 4th of July tradition is pushing Arthur in the pool—he ends up looking like a wet cat. Hong Kong is Al's fireworks dealer (he gets the half brother discount). Al usually spends the next day recovering from some severe injury

England: his brothers throw him a party with help from his kids

He always tuts about how they didn't need to make it such a big deal, but secretly he loves that he has such a big and loving family who care enough to celebrate him. And France gives him a special gift afterwards 🍑

France: has a masquerade ball to feel like a pretty princess

Meets a "handsome British stranger" every time. Artie thinks he's slick. It always ends with Artie kissing him in the moonlight, followed by a romantic night of passion with very little sleep to be had

December starts out strong with a daily bombardment of tons of stories about Meghan and/or Harry. Their PR backs off in the middle of the month, but only barely. Luckily for us, there is salvation: Meghan gets her first, second, third, and fourth dose of royal criticism.

Like I mentioned in the November 2017 timeline, this month sees Meghan pulling her support from Star Magazine, US Weekly, and E Online. People Magazine begins to earn her loyalty instead.

I also have a hard time concentrating on the words with d20, but also woth podcasts and audiobooks too, so I typically find another task to do to keep my ears engaged. Like I'll listen to Dimension 20 while I bake! Or I'll draw in my sketchbook while listening to an audiobook.

In terms of my favourite character from Fantasy High, it's a tie between Fig and Gorgug. My angry little sweethearts.

Bridgerton IS British! And if you like regency era romance vibes but don't care so much about the historical accuracy, then you'd probably like it. There's a lot of sex scenes though so do with that what you will.

My favourite Bridgerton character is Anthony Bridgerton. He's the eldest and he's so stubborn that I wanna box his ears sometimes, but he is also a sweetheart.

My dad likes to hog the tv for the majority of the week, and we have family movie nights all together on Saturday nights. But on Friday nights, my dad invites his buddies/our neighbours over to hang out in the garage for some beers and good conversation, and me, my mom, and my sister will all go watch something on Netflix together.

We've been doing it since Stranger Things season 4 part 2 came out, and we will just sit and binge entire shows a few episodes at a time.

I may be aging myself with this one, (and that feels so odd to say as someone who just turned 25 last month) but my favourite minceracft youtuber has got to be Vintagebeef. I started watching him when he was in his second season playing on the Mindcrack server (it was their 3rd season I believe), back when I was 12.

I love watching him on the Hermitcraft server these days, and it's nice to see him interacting and having fun with minecraft legends of old and new. I also love any Team Canada (Vintagebeef, Ethoslab, and PauseUnpause) videos. It's as fun as it is chaotic, and it's always very chaotic.

I found a recipe online to turn cake mix into cookies by modifying the wet ingredients, and I have been having so much fun getting creative with those on my days off work since I discovered it sometime last fall.

(My favourite ones so far would have to be the marbled cookies. They are to die for)

My favourite crochet projects, to date, are the baby blanket I made for my best friend's little boy, and the dice bags I recently made for my friend and I (she invited me to join my first ever dnd campaign with her)

My top three music artists right now would be Noah Kahan, Chappell Roan, and Hozier (with a shout out to Benson Boone)

But my all time faves? Marianas Trench, Fall Out Boy, and AC/DC

the day before yesterday I went to mcgill and found all of my classrooms so I wouldn’t get lost on the first day or god forbid late for a lecture. one building has 2/5 of my lectures which is convenient.

yesterday was my first day of uni! most classes seem chill and we have midterms and finals (#feelingamerican🇺🇸) some multi choice online and over THREE days. is this what it feels like to be a bio/psych kid, @anastasiaaskitis ?

so come 9:30 I had my first lecture, mathematical logic, in that building, got there at 9:25 and there were ~300 kids trying to squeeze into this lecture hall. I’d been there the day before so I joined the stream and got in safely. sat in the middle of the hall and at 9:35, the lecturer writes ‘algebra’ on the board… and I’m smack bang in the middle of the lecture hall. go figure. I couldn’t stand the embarrassment of standing up and leaving so I sat through it, surrounded by teensy weensy just-graduated-highschool probably homesick teenagers, missing my actual first lecture. go figure!

in my second, and first that was actually my class, computing lecture, I needed my laptop and pulled it out only to be mortified by the forgotten huge canadian flag sticker from my party two months ago. how embarrassing. imagine if someone showed up at a lecture with a huge aus flag laptop sticker at melbourne uni. I swallowed my shame and ignored it, to have an actually enjoyable and interesting lecture! it seems like it’ll be a difficult class but I’m kinda glad to have somewhere to direct my energy this semester.

thien made this spinach rice for dinner which was yummy and afterwards we watched gossip girl with hot chocolate and some fresh strawbs ☺️ I was a bit sad about not making any friends at all but we move on

our street (very much like sydney road or a slightly less busy brunswick or smith st) is having a festival over the weekend which gives me something to look forward to while thien is playing music with new friends, joining a new running group, and disappearing off to other places. feeling a bit sad about thien seemingly slotting right into this city and uni while I still haven’t made any friends or even learnt anyone’s name.

tomorrow I’ve got two (2) lectures so two (2) chances to meet someone / find a friend. still haven’t met any maddys and terribly missing my melbourne maddy 🥹💔 there is hope though. and if I don’t meet anyone tomorrow I’ll simply ride a bike home and bake a cake or something to cheer me up. in the slums rn but not gonna let this keep getting me down

last week I missed the whole ‘frosh’ (prosh ish) week so I don’t really know anything about anyone or even know how to find clubs or anything. we haven’t had tutes yet and out of my 5 subjects only two of them even have a tute which will start next week. it’s hard making friends in lectures but I’m trying! missing everyone in melb more than anything 😭 one more uni day for this week and then a happy weekend and rest.
